🕒  Hours: 37.5 hours per week

✨ Job Purpose:

The Driver/Warehouse Operative supports the smooth running of regional logistics operations across the Rotor Hub and Blade model. This includes the collection and delivery of stock, furniture, and donated goods, as well as the safe and efficient handling and processing of items within the warehouse.

This is a customer-facing, active role that requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a values-led approach to teamwork, safety, and service.

🚀 Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Deliveries

• Deliver and collect donated stock and furniture from donor homes, retail shops, banks, and warehouses in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

• Provide excellent service when visiting donor homes and shops, acting with care, courtesy, and respect.

• Ensure vans are clean, roadworthy, and meet safety checks daily, report defects promptly.

• Complete delivery logs and paperwork accurately, ensuring traceability and compliance.

Warehouse Operations

• Assist with the organisation and safe movement of stock within the warehouse.

• Adhere to systems for processing incoming goods and preparing stock for sale or onward distribution.

• Check, weigh, and log stock data to ensure accurate recording for invoicing and reporting.

• Work proactively with the Workflow & Volunteer Hub Team Leader to meet daily/weekly objectives.

• Provide occasional cross-support to other departments, including retail, when requested.

📋 Person Specification:

Essential

• Full UK driving licence (clean)

• Comfortable with regular manual handling of heavy and bulky items

• Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery environment

• Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and goods movement practices

• Understanding of geographical working area

• Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment

• Experience completing delivery records, stock sheets, or basic admin tasks

• Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel

• Strong team player, clear communicator, and self-motivated contributor

• Conscientious and reliable, with good attention to detail

Please note: 

• This is an active, hands-on role based at a regional Rotor Hub, involving regular driving, lifting, and team-based warehouse work.

• Occasional early starts, weekends, or flexibility may be required to meet operational needs.
